Stockholm Surfboard Club (ストックホルムサーフボードクラブ)サーフボードのシェイパーでもある、デザイナーのマンネ・グラッドが 2019 年にスウェーデンで立ち上げたサーフボード&ウエアブランド。「サーフボードは私の神経をくすぐります。クラフトマンシップ、美学、パフォーマンス、表現を網羅したひとつのオブジェです」と語るグラッド。デザインする服にもサーフカルチャーやアート、音楽などへの想いが込められている。
2023 Spring Summer Collection60 年代後半から 70 年代にかけてのスウェーデンのプログレッシブ(斬新的)ミュージックムーブメントに着想を得ています。ジャズ、ロック、サイケデリック・ミュージック、詩的作品、フォーク、即興音楽が混沌と混ざり合い、音楽シーンの商業的発展への政治的反動となりました。「個人的には、この時代のスウェーデン音楽が一番好きです。全ての個人が自分のスタイルを貫いていて、それが完璧に磨かれていなかったことがとても魅力的です。このコレクションは、その自由でありながら集団的な精神を映し出すものにしたいと思いました。もし、この時代のスウェーデンにサーフィンシーンがあったら、このような人たちがたくさん関わっていたと思います。」–Stockholm Surfboard Club、クリエイティブ・ディレクター、Manne Glad－
